I agree. This does seem a little thick, but the end product is pretty nice. My local fly shop has various types of synthetic fibers that are a fraction of the cost of EP Fibers.
This is not my video, but I really like the end result. My EP minnows are much more sparse, probably similar to what you tie.
Nice video, but i thought with EP fibers less is more? That stuff is expensive!

I use Congo hair Doug. Good stuff and much cheaper than EP. And yes i tie mine much sparser too. Still an awesome fly in the video!
